Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta

After our basewalk (and my transcendental experiences), we all hopped back on the bus for the short ride to The Olgas (Kata Tjuta is the aboriginal name).

But what could possibly top Ayers Rock? Would this be a huge disappointment?

Thankfully, the answer was no - The Olgas are a fascinating area of rocks, valleys and plains, and were absolutely gorgeous.

The Kata Tjuta Walk

Rychelle led the way, stopping at appropriate points to demonstrate how the area formed, giving us mini-lectures, and we all slowly warmed up after the night before.

The most memorable part of the day? The game we 'invented' where we would all say hello in a slightly different way to people that we passed on the walk. Doesn't sound like much, but boy was it funny at the time...
